Discovering the Horses of Sable Island

In 2012, Doggett traveled to Nova Scotia's remote Sable Island, often called the ‘graveyard of the Atlantic’ due to its history of shipwreck. This tiny island is now home to nothing except a herd of 400 wild horses that roam freely over the it’s 26 rugged miles. Depicted in his collection entitled Discovering the Horses of Sable Island is the physicality of these majestic animals and their movements as they relate to one another within their social hierarchy and with the island's constantly shifting landscape.
