electric fauna series

This series takes as its central motif animals from the world which have inspired my affection.It seeks to experiment through geometrical abstraction and  at the same time , there is an attempt to demystify the presumption of the 20th-century avant-gards that the pure abstraction does not initiate its process of work from reality. Presumption which will lead to the historical definition of the opposites, figuration-abstraction. My intention is to work in the border line between the latter and reveal  the moment when the viewer  no longer sees the painting as a figurative representation but as an abstraction; the real object is no longer recognised.
