Small 'Trompe l'oeil oil paintings

A series of small 'Trompe l'oeil oil paintings, started during the lockdown in 2021. These small painting bring together both the abstract and the narrative. A process began whereby magazine fragments chosen for their colour and delicate details were arranged as a collage. This in turn inspired a careful reworking in oils, focusing on intensity of colour and meticulous detail. AB
