About The Artwork
The phrase Weapons of Mass Destruction resonated with me over time. Therefore, I decided to make a series of drawings with a satirical slant, changing the title to 'Weapons of Mass Production'. This drawing/collage was inspired by the BP logo. The green border suggests black oil despoiling the green, which might suggest to the viewer a present and relevant concern with global warming and fossil fuel. I made the image by cutting and fitting the individual pieces to make the 'logo' with plain and metallic card.
