About The Artwork

In the picture, Cloud in the Sky, lightness is tied to a knot. Lending a double interpretation to the topic: on the one hand, captivity cannot hold anyone back, and slavery lasts as long as we accept its rules. This is a part of a set of 5 pieces about the 'Cotton Wool' drawings. About my technique: I always use 0.3-0.5mm mechanical pencils on paper to create a lot greyes without 'brushing the graphite'. To make the perfect and suitable tones I have to draw them for the first time, without any mistakes, because eraisers can damage the surface of the paper. I also have to be careful not to smudge the drawing with my hand. These small things make it quite tricky to use a mechanical pencil to draw. But it is worth it, because this is the only way to create special deep and varied tones. Shipping: The size of the paper is slightly larger than the size of the images shown on them. In all cases, the smaller size (i.e. the size of the drawn image) is indicated as the size of the images. The overall height and width of the paper are 8-12 centimeters larger. During shipping, the drawing is placed between foam boards with a protective cloth and protective passe-partout, and then in a plywood shipping box with reinforced edges. Unfortunately, due to the fragility of graphite, these drawings cannot be delivered rolled up.

I am a realist drawing artist, fine art and art theory writer. I was born in Budapest in 1985, and completed my studies at the Radnóti Miklós High School in Dunakeszi, and in 2004 I was admitted to the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Graphic Arts. Nowadays I am working as a freelance visual artist, primarily producing high quality drawings for foreign sales since 2022. In addition I am researching the connections between cultural development and environmental stress. Between 2022 and 2016, I gave numerous lectures on art history, cultural history, and drawing art topics. My first two books were published as partial summaries of these topics in Hungarian. In 2012 I co-founded the TypoTrafik letterpress printing workshop. About my art manner: Due to the realistic art style, the scale and ratio of my drawings are 1:1. This means that everything can be seen in the drawings in the same size as we would view the depicted things from a comfortable distance in real life. There is no magnification applied to the images - as is typical for example in naturalistic art.
