About The Artwork
My artwork reflects the continual exploration of the relationship between our natural and urban environments. The concept isn't black and white, some changes which on the surface may not seem as positive, actually are forward-thinking. Regardless, it's the little things and the interaction between the two that fuel our memories and interpretation. Media includes collage, ink, pen (marker), graphite, colored pencil, and paint (acrylic or gouache). Shipping is calculated on the size of the artwork, in this instance the work will be sent in a flat box with the corners protected. It is difficult to send an artwork framed, particularly with glass. Since the shipping charged is more than the cost for the buyer, I have adjusted the price of the artwork to reflect a cost of shipping to $15 per piece, vs. $45. Please inquire for further clarification.

I have been stitching on fabric for the past twenty years. For me, the stitched line is as seductive as a drawn line; it can speak softly or have a strong presence. In the past few years, I have transitioned that line to paper using various media. I still find that line, in its many forms, is the starting and ending point for my artwork. In 2008 I received my MFA in studio art from the University of North Texas. I taught 2D and 3D design for 8 years. The influence of my professors and fellow students, and well as the students I taught, has contributed to my developing art practice.
