About The Artwork
Fayoum is a little frame of the art history of the roman/egyptian portraiture painted in wood tombs and are a priceless artistic work and identity of the dead persons. They are the presence of the devotion of the dead. But they are so alive. Those portraits inspire me to do some works about them. Their presence and their truth are amazing. This is the first drawing I made about these. It's an interpretation by drawing of observation and discover of an ancient technique.
