Identity archetypes II Drawing

A drawing from the series titled Identity Archetypes. The work is the result of observations I have made while communing with nature over recent years. In Japan, all citizens are advised to practice shinrin yoku, i.e. peaceful walks in the forest. They are supposed to have a therapeutic and stress-reducing effect. My drawings are a kind of extension of such walks. I believe that trees had a huge impact on the creation of the human species and are still a very important element both economically and metaphysically. The process of remembering forest landscapes and reproducing them on paper helped to retain in the subconscious the impression of contact with them for longer.
