Happy to present you my new artwork. I rarely draw portraits, especially of political figures. Or rather, I have never drawn any politicians... So what happened? ⠀ The thing is, I highly value freedom. For me, freedom is the highest priority in life. That's why libertarianism resonates with me. And here we go - for the first time in the world, a libertarian became president. His name is Javier Milei, and he won the presidential elections in Argentina. For libertarians, this is both joyful and scary. Joyful because it's an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the ideology in practice, and scary because what if Javier is just a populist and doesn't plan to adhere to the ideology? ⠀ My work is a symbol that poses the question: 'who is Javier Milei really, and who will he become by the end of his presidency?' It's a stylized bulletin in the form of a dollar, where each holder can put their answer at the beginning of his term and at the end of the first term. ⠀ Will Javier cut through the socialist oppression of corrupt trade unions with his chainsaw? ⠀ In my artwork, I involve the collector. Each first owner can put their answer in the 'bulletin-dollar' column. Thus becoming a co-author of the unique print. ⠀ I have adorned the artwork with various symbols of libertarianism: • The interpretation of the Gadsden flag is made of real gold. • The dollar sign is combined with a currency symbol in a way that the dollar itself carries the currency. • The number one hundred is supplemented with a currency symbol, making it visually similar to one thousand. • The lion and the chainsaw are symbols of Javier Milei's 2023 election. • Ama-gi - a Sumerian word meaning the liberation of slaves. It is considered the first written expression of the concept of freedom. • I have developed my own symbol, the libertarianism sign - consisting of the combination of the currency symbol and the letter L (for libertarianism).
