I was taking a train journey to Bologna and as I looked at the seat numbers written in Braille, I reflected on how aesthetically pleasing they were and at the same time incomprehensible to me. Often in our approach to art as spectators, we confuse understanding the work with recognizing the subject. This led me to the idea of creating a series of works that were landscapes in themselves, but where the iconic aspect was secondary. They consist of a brief description of the context of the work in Braille, and through an NFC tag hidden behind the center of the work, it is possible to activate an audio track that accompanies us to the described location through an audio context. In this case, the audio track plays the chatter of tourists recorded on Ponte Pietra in Verona on a Sunday afternoon.
