The meaning of this picture is transition, moving from one situation to another. The little girl is holding onto a dream. The dream is Venice which is personified into the protection of the mother figure. I hope it´s viewers will feel a kind of magical emotion. The physical texture is paper. I like to feel the delicate touch of pastel and graphite on paper. It is drawn on a high quality Canson MI-Teintes paper, with Faber-Castell graphite pencils, Caran D'Ache coloured pencils and Sennelier pastels. Hanging hardware is not included.

I am mainly a self taught artist. I have been living in Spain for most of my life. The intense light, bright blue skies and distorted olive trees often being an inspiration for the background in my pictures. My work relates my innermost feelings and state of mind at specific moments of my life. They are drawn in a surrealistic style using lead graphite and pastel. Occasionally I introduce collage to enhance different parts. My art is as though it were a theatrical stage setting fixed in time. My portraits have a serene composed style undoubtedly due to my fascination of Italian Renassaince Portraiture.
