About The Artwork
The little owl is cute and cheeky, but also a little defiant and aggressive. You should always consider its wisdom - or consider, that it's only a mask. I like these ambiguous and ambivalent expressions, especially when paired with precision in the style of the picture. The title is difficult to translate into english, but it refers to the mentioned ambiguity. "Querverspiegelt" may be wordly translated as "cross-mirrored" and "Eulchen" simply is diminutive for "owl" and means a little owl. The picture is mainly a flat drawing on paper, except the left eye, the left breast and the ring on the right hand. Eye and breast are made with nailpolish, the ring with handicraft-pearls, and these spots are therefore slightly raised. Thats why the picture can't be rolled and packed in a tube. It is framed in an aluminium-made frame, with a double layered passepartout and covered with flute glass. The frame-colour is champagne, the size 60x80cm. The drawing itself is 40x50cm on 50x70cm paper.

Many of my drawings are mixed-media drawings, where I use pencil, fineliner, copicmarker, paintmarker and sometimes other materials. Clear lines and distinct contrasts are often paired with subtle, tender microstructures. My Style is very much influenced by graffiti-writing and its expressive lines, and by classical and contemporary surrealism.
