About The Artwork
Such a joy to try to replicate all the sea colours, tones..blues...greens, ocra, lavander and so on. This is my homage to the great Russian 19th century master Ivan Aivazovsky, probably my favorite seascape artist. Small scale paintings allow less details and layers of colour still I hope I captured a bit of that Aivazovsky magic and how masterful he was. This one is on sanded paper.
