About The Artwork
This is one of the pearls hidden quite far from central streets of Yerevan. It was built around '60s in the traditional style of those days' central Yerevan developments. Walking by those backstreets one never can expect to run into such a beautiful building. It is built of tuff stone, a volcanic stone of pink color that became greyish lilac during the years. I love to walk through the hidden backstreets, discovering such places and to think about the life that happens in each of those stone balconies, behind those grape branches hanging over the windows. The original is 20x20 cm, and I imagine it inside a very wide square white matting (15-20 cm) and thin black frame, behind a glass.
