V.S. Coster (or Uinsionn S. Cástór) is a self-taught artist who works in various media. His preferred format is oil painting, though he also enjoys pastel painting, digital painting, and photography. Despite his serious colourblindness, he enjoys using bold colours in his work or soft monotone paintings. His main influences are Henri Matisse, Émile Bernard, Paul Gauguin, Edgar Degas, Paul Henry, and The Scottish Colourists, especially JD Fergusson.
