Semih CELEBI was born in March 1971 in Istanbul / Sisli. Semih Çelebi, who has a certificate of ratification signed by UNESCO and the Ministry of National Education, has the authority to give education and licensing of 3d wood arts in educational institutions affiliated to these institutions. In 2021, he was entitled to receive an Artist Identity from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey. He learned and developed the basic practical training of wood arts from his master, Alaettin Çelebi, who was also his father for years. The artist, who applied the 3D wood art to visual arts for the first time in Turkey, had the opportunity to get to know wood very well due to his profession, and he used this knowledge in the field of visual arts and contributed to the emergence. In our country, he succeeded in integrating this art, which he practiced with love and passion, into the art community and becoming the pioneer of a new trend. His first exhibition, which he attended for promotional purposes, ended his 34-year professional life upon the magnificent reaction and results he received in Florya, Istanbul, and presents 3D, hand-made, touchable works that will make art lovers feel the warmth of wood for the last 12 years. The artworks he applied in all the exhibitions and events he participated in were always the center of attention and appreciated, and this reinforced the artist's confidence in his art and enabled him to continue his art enthusiastically.
