About The Artwork

In this artwork, everything is treated in shades of white and gray, the model like the ground and the background. Only the tattoo and the eyes are in another color, as if only they mattered. One can imagine that with a little more time, all the rest of the model's body and face would disappear under this intrusive tattoo, making it disappear completely in a kind of ink camouflage where the design would be stronger than the support. .. This work is produced in mixed technique on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (transparent glazes and a signature square in relief). This is a unique piece. It is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 51 x 36 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
