Currency #207 ""I had never left my land for so long" Artwork

This piece is from the "Exchange Currency Series," created by me in 2024, inspired by the concept of the "face" on coins. It's a circular wooden acrylic painting, measuring 26 centimeters, mimicking a coin's face, featuring an anonymous character framed by a Brazilian Portuguese phrase that could be translated as: "I had never left my land for so long." Conceptually, it's part of a project where I explore the theme of foreignness and the sense of 'not being from here,' drawing from my own experiences and connecting with others who have undergone migration challenges.
