About The Artwork

Magnolia Flower was created on Fabriano 200gsm paper and is part of the Art of Nature Collection. ' I am blooming from the wound where I once bled' The magnolia flower meaning is attached with the symbols of nobility, perseverance, and love of nature. Soft and subtle in color yet strong in appearance, the flower is representative of the beauty encompassing femininity and gentleness. The tiger is an animal that symbolizes protection, vitality, strength and unpredictability. The zebra meaning is individuality and uniqueness. Zebras' black and white stripes make them easily recognisable and stand out from other animals. As a symbol, zebras represent embracing one's individuality and celebrating what makes you unique. The Parrot is symbolic with ties to mantras, affirmations, incantations and chanting. When said with intent, repeated words can help align you with the energies you need to change your life. The crane is a symbol of happiness and eternal youth and symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years.

Im a female artist from Cape Town, South Africa. I have been painting for the last 20 years, with no formal art education. My journey started with a box of Vintage Dress Patterns which was turned into a skirt on a metal wired Mannequin and from there to canvas. I have sold many pieces all over the world like Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Madagascar, San Francisco, New York etc. I have exhibited in London at the Art of Africa Gallery. Currently Im working with good old fashion Brown Paper and Vintage Navigation Charts. I only sketch woman and make use of pencils, charcoal and Acrylic paint.
