Old School Playlist is a fun painting taking you back to a time before digital media. It was a time when you had to visit a store or a venue to see/purchase music. Music carrying devices were precious and hard to come by. No digital libraries, downloads, or streaming, you only got to hear the radio or what was in a collection. Tough times for those of us who love to listen to music and adventure out with new bands and songs all the time. As part of the series "Stories from Nowhere" this is a piece of nostalgia. Does it take you back to those times? I recall the shag carpet and the dusty jackets. The hum and hiss of the player...and it warms me inside. I wouldn't want to get rid of my ease of access to go back, but it is nice to have a record of it.
