About The Artwork
As a child I would listen to Marley's tracks and I had an idea of the type of man he was. However, only in my late teens did I realise the depth of his character. His messages of peace and love were one thing but his motivation and passion to inspire people to rise from oppression and fight for equality was his truest strength. His music has a way of bringing people together. This piece was inspired after watching a documentary called Smile Jamaica. What he did on that stage in Jamaica was incredible.
