About The Artwork

The image represents the horrifying reality of war, an unstoppable force devoid of emotion. It evokes fear and awe, like Kierkegaard's philosophy. Confronting war is necessary, as everyone has their breaking point and personal hell. The halo around the figure symbolizes its existence outside our world, presenting a daunting challenge. War extinguishes lives and strips away security, symbolized by the extinguished candles. Death, represented by a golden apple, is unpredictable and cruel. The red dragon symbolizes evil and empire, seeking to eliminate opposition. Despite war's darkness, the soul holds a golden twig, understanding the secret of life and the boundless nature of existence. An angel's head adorned with a golden wreath represents hope, faith, and love, guiding us through trials and preventing us from losing our humanity. War exposes the darkness within us, leaving us horrified and stunned. Love and compassion are our strength to avoid descending into aggression.
