About The Artwork
The inspiration behind this art was the Spaghetti western film genre and in particular The Good the Bad and the Ugly. My juxtaposition here was to replace Clint Eastwood’s character with Julie Andrew’s holding two .44 magnum’s accompanied with a cigar in mouth. The concept or idea originally came from a visit to Berlin and viewing the graffiti an the remains of the eroded Berlin wall. I wanted to replicate the large pieces of smashed, mangled concrete, paint the design on to it and then suspend the art within a contemporary gallery environment creating a unique powerful illusion for the viewer. There are many materials used to create this piece including timber, plywood, gypsum, gravel, wrought iron, sand, and pebbles. The art piece can be wall mounted or suspended. NOW SOLD
