A letter from the ancients Painting

How nice it would have been if humans who painted in caves 20,000 years ago had written us a letter explaining their motivations, their vision of life, their relationship with Nature. We are only animals, but we speak with the Gods. We hunt and paint. We farm and pray. We are insignificant and giants at the same time. Simple and magical. We are nothing or perhaps the only thing. We, who are Nature but who have become something else. Gestural, intuitive painting, which lets things happen and relies on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences. The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual. Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient. Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
