A happy and stormy day at the sea, painted in 2020 on professional watercolor paper. I love the unusual size for a landscape and it was interesting for me to work with that format. Scratchings and watermarks are important for this painting. 40x19x0,3 cm, W&N and DS watercolors on professional watercolor paper, signed on the back, Certificate of Authenticity. Shown here with a custom made matte and frame options to give you an idea what it could look like. Please note that colors may vary slightly on different monitors. Shipping costs cover professional packing materials, insurance, transport etc but not customs/duties. © 2020 Gesa Reuter - All rights reserved

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
