This is a kind of drawing work with red etching ink on paper. I was made up to start this work in a very natural way. Below is the writing I posted on my Facebook. This work is done on 2 separate sheets of paper. So the price has been lowered than usual one done in a single sheet of paper. They should be put together as in the photo (behind the glass I recommend) Two sheets of work on paper will be carefully rolled in a tube for shipping "She was pouring out a painful cry all night long, captured in a tiny room. She probably knew nothing about what happened to her that day. After all those threatening moments passed by, she just found herself captured with her right paw in a cast in a dark tiny space I bet. She just wanted to wander around her territory as usual. Everything was totally unexpected to her. Kinda tragedy for her in a way. Exactly it was the same with me too. I thought I would make a cheerful red drawing that night with etching ink on paper in a silent, rather solemn mood. I never expected that painful cry for the background noise instead of Bach or Debussy. But gradually, as the night wore on, I started to follow her feelings on the paper naturally. It was all done smoothly as if it were against my will. And I gave the title to the drawing "A romantic cat's sorrow". Getting involved in a street cat's life indicates a lot to me. It still makes me really sad that she can't ever romp, frolic on the grass again just like she used to. Now she's given healthy births to seven beautiful kittens, I wonder I should ask her whether she still longs for the grass as you can see in the photo."

South Korea
Korean Painter, Sculptor Born in 1962, Studied at Hong Ik University majoring in Painting(BFA) Lives and works in Paju,South Korea. - "All the ideas for this 'Paddling' Series come from playing in the water or paddling on the water. Your thought on where the brushstrokes begins and ends just make sense in that point. Because when you paddle on the water, the act of paddling appears on the water and then disappears. In that sense, it's meaningless to find where it starts and ends and even meaningless to distinguish 'drawing' action from 'erasing' action on water. That's how I drew the concept of 'drawing on water', so to speak, onto the canvas in this series" - 2020, Yoon Joo
