About The Artwork
The Aare Gorge is a gorge near Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. The Aare flows through the narrow passage from Innertkirchen at the foot of the Grimsel area to the plain above Lake Brienz. The river crosses the gorge at an increased flow rate of almost 12 km/h. The geotope is listed in the federal inventory of landscapes and natural monuments of national importance. The majestic rocks and the power of the mountain river of this place are so picturesque, that every visit inspires and opens from a new perspective. The artist used putty and acryl to express the rock structure of its perspectives.
