About The Artwork

"Abandoned space" - a triptych. The central part shows a group of people on the sides are single figures. The main character is a monk (figure on left side). This is the only figure that completely turned from the audience. Other figures, though facing frontally, but still not interacting with it. It is unclear what kind of people depicted on painting, they are dressed almost the same, have the same haircut and uncertain gender. Just as modern people consumer society, blurring of gender, social unrest, all of this is a reflection on the formation of human generations and human in general, creating a "faceless" people in the same clothes, have the same style, the same thoughts. Current trends produce people who are unfamiliar own goals and desires. The rift between cultural goals and institutionalized means creates both public apathy and anomichne tension. On this work people depicted fettered, facing the audience, though discovered, but their view is directed downwards.
