Inspired by the fascinating Da Vinci's Monalisa, I recreated this mixed media painting using oil and acrylic paints and also introduced some African Ankara fabrics. It's a subtle reminder of a period during slavery and yet she still looks beautiful in her poise. Albeit her difficult realities, she remembers she's black and beautiful and that's how much she loves her body
