Fata Morgana is a complicated form of mirage, which appears quite rarely and thus is sometimes referred to as miracle of sorts. Of course, Fata Morgana doesn't show up all of sudden in kitchens and studios, and certainly it doesn't look much like these four images of apples, created by using two existing apples as a reference. This composition, thought, might make you think of old legends, and wonder, whether this mirage is a kind sign or no: will tasting this apple simply "make the doctor go away" for a short while, or will it irreversibly open your eyes, or maybe it's meant for something else... for example, to remember that there's no absolute dark, nor complete light, that there are drops of evil in kindness, and vice versa, there are sparks of happiness amid despair, as well as patches of agony on the field of euphoria. That everything is not what it seems like (sounds like, reads like, feels like) at first glance. Which apple is actually the original, what alterations does each iteration bring - how many apples are there truly? Does anyone really know for sure? Then, it's purely your own choise to make. Acrylic on cardboard panel. The corners of the cardboard are slightly unsightly, chipped (not noticeable and doesn't affect the painting itself)

Latvia
Born and residing in Riga, Latvia. I've been interested in art since childhood, immersing myself in drawing and the history of art. I work mainly with oil and acrylic paint, sometimes watercolor, but not exclusively, as I enjoy trying out new techniques and experimenting with mediums. Vast part of my paintings feature nature and its' different sides, shapes, contrasts, in a somehow impressionistic way, displaying bright and almost overly saturated colors, on the edge of dream and reality.
