About The Artwork
I pasted the sand of Arabian desert which my grandfather gave me before. This is one reason why I choose Arabian oryx as a motif to use this sand for my artwork. I was inspired by the Old Testament (Genesis) and the artwork by Domenico Morelli (19c italian painter) and pasted it (Noah's ark) in Japanese on their horns. The wild arabian oryx was extinct in my birth year, 1972. It is a rare animal that succeeded breeding and returning to the wild using the arabian oryx which had been captured. It seems that May to Oct. is the timing of childbirth, so I finished this in May and upload (give birth) in June in Saatchi art.
