I painted this Self-Portrait when I was 44 years old, after being in quarantine for a year due to the Covid 19 pandemic, where we had to experience confinement, lack of work, illness and deaths, where the seriousness of the situation inspired me to paint myself with a different perspective. serious and direct, but at the same time I confuse myself with the universe as in a long dream, surrounded by the beautiful floripondios with golden borders, which keep me hoping that this bad dream will become a good dream. I mixed the figurative drawing on an abstract background where they merge, dissolving my body as part of the cosmos.
