Germany
My name is Mariia Kozyr and I come from Ukraine. I have been strongly drawn to art since I was a child. Art in all its forms accompanied me throughout my life. My artistic journey began when I attended the art school in my childhood. There I took my first steps in various painting techniques and discovered colors and shapes, but life took me down other paths. My artistic calling was dormant for a long time. Despite a break in art and unsuccessful attempts to return to painting, a year and a half ago I decided it was time to delve back into the world of art. I began this new chapter of my artistic journey with online watercolor workshops where I was able to learn modern techniques and diverse forms of expression. This was a time of great growth for me as an artist. Watercolor inspires me more than anything else. At the same time, I also started taking individual lessons from experienced artists. This helped me overcome my limitations and unlock my potential that I didn't really know about. I now see the world in a completely new light. Today I continue to paint and develop as an artist in Germany. I experiment with different materials and styles and give free rein to my dreams in the realm of art. My works are a reflection of my perspective and understanding of the world. They are a mixture of my external and my intimate internal world, my emotions. This is a type of therapy that has grown into a powerful way of expressing emotions. I am proud of how far I have come on my development path and I am grateful to my mentors, who believed in me. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to share my art with the world. I want others to not be afraid of their creativity because we are all worth it. Life is too precious to keep putting it off.
