About The Artwork
I took inspiration for this painting from my recent trip to Tasmania with Stan and our son Steven, this time from the magnificent Bay of Fires on Tasmania's northeast coast. The lichen, a type of algae endemic to this area, causes the rocks on its shoreline of almost 50 kilometres to have an iconic hue of orange. Being there feels like visiting another planet while still breathing some of the purest oxygen on Earth. The artist's original painting, "Bay of Fires" by Marina Strijakova, is a part of the 30x30x30 collection. This artwork looks particularly impressive when displayed with other artworks from this collection: the paintings are of the same size and together create a pleasing-to-eye composition. The canvas of this landscape painting is stretched on a quality 38mm deep frame, sealed with varnish to enhance the lifetime, and comes signed, with a wire on the back ready for hanging.
