"Chrysalis" is a "tondo", a work of art in a series of a circular paintings. Tondos were particularly popular during the Renaissance. These circular formats are used to create a unique compositional dynamic, emphasizing the central subject and creating a harmonious visual flow. A bergy bit is a small piece of an iceberg, typically between 1 and 5 meters above the water surface and about the size of a small house. They are formed from breaking off of larger icebergs and are smaller than growlers but larger than brash ice.
