Set of 2 paintings, each painting is 34.5 x 34.5 cm, 13.58 x 13.58 inches. The price is for the two paintings together. The artworks need to be framed like examples - no frame included. Original Chinese Brush Paintings by Ilana Shechter. These artworks are a spontaneous style of Chinese Ink Painting. One of the most recognizable flowers, the iris often features bluish-purple petals with contrasting yellow and white accents. Blue irises represent faith and hope. The painting has three red Traditional Chinese seals, one of them means "Happy"the other means "Always blessed" and the third is a seal with the artist's name. These paintings were hand-painted, using Traditional Chinese tools and materials: Chinese Black Ink and mineral pigments on special rice Xuan paper. Recommended hanging on the wall in a white or black frame with passe-partout. Colors of the original art may slightly vary from the display on computer monitors/mobile screens due to different screen resolution/ settings. The artworks come with the Certificate of Authenticity. Ilana Shechter is an artist who creates in Xiěyì 寫意 or spontaneous-style Chinese Brush Painting. She was born in Russia but has lived in Israel since 1999. Ilana loves nature, holds a degree in biology teaching, and is fascinated by the world of flowers and small animals such as birds, butterflies, bees, and various other insects. Ilana appreciates that in Chinese Ink Painting it is vital to express symbolism, simplicity, and emotion wherein the final work is a lot of room left for the viewer`s interpretation. All of Ilana`s works created using authentic Chinese materials and tools such as Xuan rice paper, black ink, colored mineral pigments, and special brushes. Presently Ilana is painting and teaching Chinese Brush Painting for adults in her Art Studio in Rishon le Zion, Israel.
