The figures in the painting are two fellow artists and the image comes after a photo I shot at a costume party, during 2001 in London, UK, after 9-11. Once back in Buenos Aires I looked back at that photo I decided to turn it into a pop painting. it comes after a collage in which I combine a space, the figures, and add the guns and the references to 9-11. Bootleg is the term also referred to as mash-up for mixing music coming from different sources to create a new version o composition. This painting is a comment on 9-11 and our position as a society, which I think, pretty much also applies to current tiemes: We certainly are unable to perceive things as they happen without the perspective of time.
