This year we celebrate the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, I like to be able to join the image of my forest with the introduction of the Divina Commedia (hell). Canto 1 Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai per una selva oscura, ché la diritta via era smarrita. Ahi quanto a dir qual era è cosa dura esta selva selvaggia e aspra e forte che nel pensier rinova la paura! Tant' è amara che poco è più morte; ma per trattar del ben ch'i' vi trovai, dirò de l'altre cose ch'i' v'ho scorte. Io non so ben ridir com' i' v'intrai, tant' era pien di sonno a quel punto che la verace via abbandonai. Ma poi ch'i' fui al piè d'un colle giunto, là dove terminava quella valle che m'avea di paura il cor compunto, guardai in alto e vidi le sue spalle vestite già de' raggi del pianeta che mena dritto altrui per ogne calle. Allor fu la paura un poco queta, che nel lago del cor m'era durata la notte ch'i' passai con tanta pieta.... During walks through parks I like to observe the barks, especially of plane trees, in some I already see the right image for the painting (whether they are human profiles or abstractions) the shapes are ready to be used, in others I have to work hard until I get the result that interests me.

My artistic production embraces two genres, the more abstract one, linked to nature and the other focused on the urban landscape. I am interested in exploring the origins of man, from his arrival, therefore primitive, to the development of the modern and post-industrialized city. In my works people do not appear, but traces to be discovered that people have left, human spaces, I am intrigued by showing the relationship between man, nature and the environment. During walks in the parks I observe the bark of the trees, in some I already see the right image for the painting (whether they are human profiles or abstractions) the shapes are ready to be used, in others I have to work a lot until I get the result I want ' interest . My paintings highlight subjects that we want to leave in the shade, I see them and transform them into works of art, thus becoming positive and intriguing objects or landscapes instead of waste, which come to life with color. I find it interesting to let people know that many of my works show places that no longer exist today, structures that have been demolished or definitively closed in this period of time.
