Painting of a boy with a dove. Not meant to be a religious painting in my eyes but a look to the future and hoping for peace. The boy is young and has the future in his hands. I am a Fire fighter and I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the U.K in the Peak District.I have recently started to paint in oils and my passion is people in scenes,or moments in life that are pleasing to me. I am a mother of two boys and one girl and I love studying them and other friends for paintings. I am inspired by the traditional Dutch painters and am applying the style to contemporary themes. I am known as my maiden name Nicola Richardson in the Art world as I originally started doing watercolours of animal portraits to earn my daily bread. I trained as fire Fighter in my 30's as I was wanted to challenge myself physically and liked the idea of helping others.This now allows me to paint exactly what I like.
