Acrylic on wood, 18x24x2cm, 2021 What do female warriors, such as the Amazons, do in their leisure? The title refers to a 1985 song by the French alternative pop-rock band Indochine. A simple swimmer, a modern nymph, mysterious citizen, shy or unashamed young lady, my Nudes Series "The Nudians" depicts a traditional theme in a classical form. All of these nudes of women are sensual because none of them takes the pose. Of a small size, these Nudes, in color, are discreet, and decorative. Their execution required very fine brushes, vibrant colors of fine quality with high pigment concentration for maximum visual pleasure. Le titre fait référence à une chanson de 1985 du groupe pop-rock alternatif français, Indochine. Simple baigneuse, nymphe moderne, citadine mystérieuse, femme réservée ou impudique, la Série de Nus « The Nudians » aborde un thème traditionnel sous une forme classique. Tous ces Nus de femmes sont sensuels car aucune ne prend la pose. De petits formats, ces Nus, en couleur, sont discrets, et décoratifs. Leur exécution a nécessité des pinceaux très fins, des couleurs vibrantes de qualité fine à forte concentration pigmentaire pour un maximum de plaisir visuel. Courbet parlait de « faire de l’Art vivant » à propos de la peinture d’un Nu. Je ne peux qu’espérer que mes "vivantes" Nudians vous plairont. Ludovic Jaccoud https://ludovicjaccoudart.webnode.fr/ is a Swiss Artist creating with great talent a distinctive style displaying combination of figurative, anamorphic and semi-abstract elements. Education While living in Belgium, Ludovic Jaccoud went on to improve drawing at the Académie des beaux arts de Bruxelles, in Brussels, and at the legendary Musée de la Bande Dessinée de Bruxelles; he proved a real talent for Technical Drawing. Back to his native country, after University studies, he dedicated himself on learning History of Arts and its techniques. In 2009, Ludovic finally launched his career as a painter. He exhibited his famous collection of anamorphic portraits during May to August 2014, at the NEST Gallery. The Opening of these Exhibitions were attended by art lovers with great enthusiasm. Motivation Painting allows him a freedom of unlimited themes, which combine passion, and citizen duty. Ludovic portrays isolation, the influence of technology on the human being, the difficulty of human relations Ludovic’s artworks are part of his life, and of your life too. In his artworks, art and social commentary co-exist, which play a tremendous role in our own life. This exceptional Artist depicts social symbols, relevant to nowadays society, revealing portraits, topics and matters, where every detail is carefully observed, captured, and mastered. Via authentic elements, he illustrates his feelings then convey them to fans of figurative art. Using acrylic paint, each figurative, semi-abstract and/or anamorphic artwork reveals how difficult the authentic is to achieve.
