I mixed each color and dipped each ball one by one ...and careful placed them in their stacked position. I found myself excited about how many colors i could come up with in variation. What inspired this work originally was the gum ball machine. I remember looking at all the colors inside of it as a child packed into a place where I was fixated on it as potentially mine post quarter drop. The same perspective was applied to bowls of any candy infront of me especially when playing the ever so popular retro game at our community fairs which were "guess how many are in this jar".
This painting was part of a series called "Sweet Love" where i pulled focus on my slight obsession with sweets grown up. I used this series as a healing arts recovery because the sweets growing up that I consumed became part of my adolescent challenge which was to maintain my weight healthily. So instead of eating them I created them.
This painting makes me so happy and many people have said the same when they see not to mention the undeniable need to touch it for it's layered texture and variety in molds.

I am a self educated & multifaceted artist from Montreal, Canada who embraces a multitude of mediums while my art remains prescribed in vibrancy and textures, demonstrating my ability to intuitively create. My work ranges from large mixed media sculptures to acrylic paint on wood planks or canvas with a through line of plaster and resin giving them all somewhat of a 3D effect. I tend to create pieces that inspire modern heart and mind expansion....that invoke a collective conversation surrounding the message expressed within my work that usually hovers in the area of humorous Artivism and social consciousness.
