About The Artwork
My work is inspired by the nature and animals and some kind of a lost world: my own and the environments being distructed. I hope viewers feel emotioned and impacted as I feel when I see the distruction of different environments where these animals live. I chose the cotton paper, ink, acuarelle and others because it allowes me to draw very precise and thin lines and, also, try to find some order in the drawing space. I also chose the animal world because it reminds me my chilhood in tropical countries.

Daniela Cuéllar Díaz, born in Santiago de Chile in 1968, emigrated to Central America in 1974 and, later, to Mexico, where she lived for more than twenty years and now. A fundamental part of his childhood takes place in Costa Rica, a country of exuberant geography and landscapes that are the first encounter with an unknown, diverse and primitive world, in which coexistence with insects and animals is daily and permanent. This experience remains indelible - with a certain nostalgia - and determines her entire artistic development.
