The painting Cerrado: Ipês and Lobo Guará, as the name suggests, has as its theme the central region of Brazil, where I live. I did my university degree in Biology, so I lived a good part of my academic life in the cerrado, even though I wasn't born here, it's the region I can call home. Ipês are beautiful trees, planted in Brasilia as part of their landscaping project and provide flowering roses, purple, white and yellow, which occur during the six months of the dry season. The Guará wolf, on the other hand, is a kind of symbol of the Cerrado, and is in a state of extinction. The painting is, therefore, a tribute to the place where I live, so I used a palette of colors that follow the chromatic path of browns, yellow, green and red.
