She hopes the viewer will experiences joy when viewing this beautiful Provençal sunrise. In Provence the earth really smiles with flowers. Wietzie creates her work through a unique technique of vigorous knife strokes that creates a textured and layered surface full of impasto markings. She uses sweeping thick movements of paint in a dynamic spontaneous manner . The landscape has a dreamy and happy quality.
