Circle of compassion Painting

[…] Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty -Albert Einstein (1950) - The tiletableau is framed in a very luxurious frame with matching color passe-partout and equipped with a sturdy suspension system. 25 handmade stoneware 13x13cm tiles, painted with underglaze, copper oxide and wax. Due to the use of wax on a number of parts, some circles don't shine. This also shows that the copper oxide used on those parts is burned and partly brown. The photos also show a number of places where air bubbles have risen in the glaze and then have remained in the glaze. The photos in which the work is still matte, is the work for glazing and baking at 1020 degrees.
