About The Artwork
Deconstructed Canvas stripped from a stretcher, dipped in concrete and draped back over the structure to take on the shape of the stretcher. Stretcher was removed. There is a cut in the center of the piece showing through to the wall. (hanging hardware and instructions included). This piece was inspired by the work of Donald Judd. Deconstructing a canvas from a stretcher was my way of giving new structure and context to something that is ordinarily two dimensional.
