The watercolor painting titled "Contrasting Serenity" captures a captivating still life scene that exudes a serene ambiance. The composition primarily focuses on a dark teapot, complemented by small cups and an orange decorative zucchini. The entire scene is set against a bright, luminous background, which accentuates the contrasting black shadows that add depth and intrigue to the artwork. I drew inspiration from the interplay between light and shadow in everyday objects. Through "Contrasting Serenity," I aim to evoke a sense of tranquility and contemplation in the viewers. The juxtaposition of the dark teapot and small cups against the bright background creates a serene atmosphere, inviting the audience to pause and appreciate the beauty in ordinary objects. The contrasting black shadows add an element of mystery and intrigue, encouraging viewers to delve deeper into the painting and explore the subtle nuances.

My paintings are stories: impressions from incredible journeys to new countries, nostalgic memories from my childhood, happy evenings in the city center, or funny moments with my lovely cat that makes me laugh all the time. I paint when I feel happy, relaxed, calm and inspired and I believe you can feel it through my paintings and live through my happy moments with me. I want you to remember your incredible journeys, your lovely cat, and your evenings in the countryside when you are looking at my paintings so my memories will no longer be just mine, but ours. I am inspired almost all of the time because I find our world a really beautiful place. This is why I cannot stop painting - I always feel an urge to share my perception with the viewer. The main subject of my paintings is nature - forest, mountains, sea, sky, flowers. Fairly often it is something I have just experienced - a snowy forest after a frosty weekend in the mountains or first flowers after a walk in early Spring. I have tried a lot of mediums but prefer watercolor because one never controls it but one must always work with it. I find it really interesting - observing watercolor effects. I love watercolor’s transparency, smooth shapes, and bright colors. The most comfortable painting size for me is 38x56 cm - enough to express my feelings.
