About The Artwork

When you are swimming in Sea, take a moment to observe the colors on the surface of the water, in all of its complexities, where you may find the beauty of an ever changing reflection. In the stillness in that moment of observation, what do you FEEL? What do you remember? What do you desire? This body of work sparks a soothing and calming feeling in which you are invited to expand your past and present moments, into future possibilities, through quiet reflection. To envision your body immersed in water and feel it on your skin: To feel the temperature of the water, the buoyancy of your body and the thoughts that come into your mind when looking at the water's surface. I invited you to pay attention. The textural surface colors transition from bold to quiet, with the movement of your body and various lighting sources. Ready to display.

This innovative body of Modern Art represents a chunk of water, which has seemingly been scooped out of the Ocean and splashed onto the walls in a controlled but fluid form. Michele's groundbreaking process and style of 2D Interactive Sculptural Mixed Media Artwork, which represents the surface of bodies of water, with bold COLORS THAT CHANGE with the movement of the viewer's body. This body of work invites the viewer to “swim” around the works of art, as if being immersed in water, to experience the ever changing colors which represent the water's reflective surface and depths; to be more consciously aware how one's body interacts with and feels, on a cellular level, when being in any form of water and by the artwork itself. The viewer is invited to connect, be enlightened by and immerse oneself into this body of work and from there, be more consciously aware of how their body, mind and soul respond to water, in any form. Michele attended Université Côte d’Azur for Arts and French Language, Mount Ida college for fashion/apparel design, as well as UNLV , independent study program creating large paintings. Most recently, her works earned an inclusion in several different museum exhibitions including The American Society of Marine Artists 19th National Exhibition; A traveling exhibition hosted by The Albany Institute of History and Art in Albany, NY September 7, 2023 - December 31, 2023 and continued onto The Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona, MN, opening with a private reception on January 19, 2024 - May 12, 2024.
