About The Artwork

In this work of art, the artist is not interested in simply recording visual data, but the inner pschological experience. The painting was created under the influence of surrealist ideas, whose interest in the supernatural, hidden and magical represented a fertile ground for creative thinking. It can be said that work contains something dark, irrational and complicated and that is the world of dreams. Also here, the artist shows interest in the art of the American natives, and the painting is imbued with mythology and mysticism. The figurative inspiration of the painting is derived from the visual, magical symbols and totem representations of the American Indians. The delicate play of colorful threads and associative abstract forms cause a visible vibration of the entire surface of the painting, which ultimately creates a feeling of inner restlessness, tension and anxiety. With the roughness and sharpness of the graphics, the accent is placed on the artistic form, emphasizing its psychological strength and radiance. This rudimentary, ghostly, demonic scrawl is analogous to graffiti, the signs that children draw and write on walls, which resemble the drawing carved in the caves of prehistoric man.

Serbian contemporary artist, designer and decorator. He is best known to the general public for his design works created in relation to artistic research from fine art to applied art (design) with the aim of problematizing and pointing out the absence of strict boundaries between them in contemporary artistic expression. These works are characterized by an interest in postmodernist ornamentalism and a mixture of historical styles taken from modern art. Various conflicting stylistic codes from the history of contemporary art allow mutual transformations. It is actually about artistic creativity that erases the boundaries and differences between high and popular art, between fine art and folk art.
