About The Artwork

The work is referencing two ministers in different cities, one was a friend with benefit during my time at College in Wisconsin, and the other was in Chicago. Who I used to meet up with somewhat on a regular basis until the pandemic and getting into a relationship. The text in the work reference a song by Shuhada Sadaqat (Sinead O' Connor) and MC Lyte, while also referencing the fact that the men in the painting are minsters. Minsters tend to put their hands on people who they are praying for; but in my case when they had touched me. It was more of a sensual sexual nature that felt good to the point, it could have been something that felt holy.
